In the context of large-scale retailing, technological innovation is an integral part of a range of processes from production activities to logistics, replenishment, to sales channel management. This transformation has resulted in positive benefits regarding both reduced product processing and marketing times and improved environmental performance in terms of lower resource waste. Automated checkouts, electronic faceplates, tablets, automated platforms, and artificial intelligence are just a few examples of technological applications that are key to achieving potential benefits in terms of time savings for the customer, and reduced expenses for the company, which will have a lower burden related to personnel costs. Building on these considerations, our analysis focuses on the innovation perceived by companies in the sector. To understand its importance and impact on the competitiveness of retail outlets in the large-scale retail sector, a survey of the main players operating in this sector nationwide was conducted.

Abstract
To understand its importance and impact on the competitiveness of retail outlets in the large-scale retail sector, a survey of the main players operating in this sector nationwide was conducted.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
