Rexplora: research data exploration and discovery

There is a strong need throughout the scientific community for effective tools for analyzing, transforming, and correlating information from different sources. Despite this, in the vast cultural heritage community, heterogeneous information (be it the result of diagnostic investigations or humanistic research) is often managed independently within individual research groups and, over the years, stratified in a series of extremely heterogeneous paper and digital repositories. ReXplora project suggest a new way to effectively support scientists to process, explore and visualize scientific data, proposing a methodological approach to represent the different information classes into which the research data can be classified mapped over the proper visual representation class, according to the specific fruition context and the user profile
