Beyond the McNuggets Aesthetics. Creative Explorations and Techno-Social Interactions in Artistic Production Made with AI In the contemporary cultural landscape, Artificial Intelligence (AI) emerges as a powerful accelerator of processes in a variety of fields, including the arts. So, the diffusion of AI in art-making raises crucial questions about the ability of AI to appreciate or produce art, the evolution of aesthetic diversity in the software age, and the future of artistic expression. On this basis, as part of the PRIN PNRR IMAGES project, this paper, through in-depth interviews with Italian artists who integrate AI into their creative routines, explores the dynamics of the relationship between AI and art, reflecting on changes in the processes of signification through artistic production. The results highlight that artists, aware of the transformations underway, endeavor through their works to challenge the commercial aesthetics of AI, which reproduces standardized and homogenizing social representations. Art, therefore, emerges as a space for experimentation and exploration of unconventional ideas, playing a significant role in new forms of relationships between humans and algorithmic systems.

Abstract
Art, therefore, emerges as a space for experimentation and exploration of unconventional ideas, playing a significant role in new forms of relationships between humans and algorithmic systems.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
