Complex processes included in psychological adjustment of emotions continue to be a subject of interest and investigation in contemporary psychology. This abstract offers a short overview of the current understanding of people’s emotions management mechanisms. Emotional adjustments include a wide range of cognitive, behavioural, and physiological processes that aim to manage and change emotional experiences. Key components include attention, cognitive evaluation and modifying the answers. Psychological analysis includes directing attention towards or against emotional incentives, whereas cognitive evaluation means recognizing emotional incentives to manage emotional responses. Individual differences in emotional adjustment strategies, influenced from factors such as personality traits, development history and cultural context, spell out the complexity of emotional adjustment processes. Recognizing emotional adjustment plays a role in different aspects of psychological wellbeing, including emotional stability, anxiety disorders and interpersonal functioning. Understanding emotional adjustment dynamics enables clinical intervention and efficient therapeutic approaches in sessions. Such interventions that focus on improving emotional awareness, cognitive flexibility and emotional adjustment skills have proven significant results in this aspect. At the end this abstract underline the relevance of recognizing the psychological emotional adjustment complexities of people. Describing mechanisms and factors that affect in emotional adjustment, effective interventions can be developed to promote psychological well-being.
