The prediction of NOx emission coming from the combustion of ammonia-based fuels remains an aspect hard to be addressed. From a numerical standpoint, the lack of reliable and computationally affordable combustion models couples with the high uncertainties that affect most of the chemistry sets regarding the fuel bounded NOx assessment. In this work, the problem is investigated by coupling a CFD solution based on a species transport model and validated against experimental data with a CRN through which the emissions from several mechanisms can be easily retrieved. Despite the operating conditions are far from being of relevance, the validation of the methodology can pave the way for its application to more industrially oriented environment.
