This research shows the results of a knowledge process carried out on Bramante’s project for the Palazzo dei Tribunali in Rome. Only the imprint of the project remains today, still perceptible from the imposing ashlar fragments within its original perimeter. Although the project has never been completed, a series of drawings and hypothetical reconstructions have been produced over the centuries, constituting an important graphic heritage. The aim was to apply a methodology useful for a critical reading of the building, through the analysis of the historical drawings, the hand drawing of the current state, an integrated digital survey and a hypothetical virtual reconstruction of the Palazzo: the drawing in all its forms recomposes fragmentary pieces of the city, in its morphological and perceptive visual characteristics.
