Le emergenze storico architettoniche del versante occidentale dell’Isola d’Elba tra il X ed il XX secolo

The paper illustrates the methodological approach used in the study of the historical-architectural context of the western side of the Island of Elba, carried out in the five-year period 2019-2023. In particular, it is highlighted how, through the cross-use of digital technologies together with the study of historical documentation, it was possible to better understand the historical places under study, in particular by analyzing and documenting their development over time, allowing the planning of acti- vities of conscious restoration and developing innovative paths for valorization and protection. The research, entitled “The historical and architectural emergencies of the western side of the Island of Elba”, also carried out through scientific collaboration agreements with various municipalities, cultural associations and with the Tuscan Archipelago National Park, has made it possible to establish a state of updated art of the historical and cultural emergencies of the Island.
