In this paper I will retrace certain concepts derived from ‘Three Essays on the Theory of Sexuality’ and S. Freud’s clinical case of Dora, fundamental mile- stones for understanding human psyche, by applying them to today’s society. Through theoretical insights and clinical vignettes, the relevance of Freudian concepts – if properly reconstructed – becomes evident, as well as the impor- tance of not forgetting the psychosexual evolution of the human being, pointing towards the prospect of maintaining pivotal psychoanalytic concepts at the core of personality development as central, both in the current culture and in the future.

Abstract
In this paper I will retrace certain concepts derived from ‘Three Essays on the Theory of Sexuality’ and S. Freud’s clinical case of Dora, fundamental mile- stones for understanding human psyche, by applying them to today’s society. Through theoretical insights and clinical vignettes, the relevance of Freudian concepts – if properly reconstructed – becomes evident, as well as the impor- tance of not forgetting the psychosexual evolution of the human being, pointing towards the prospect of maintaining pivotal psychoanalytic concepts at the core of personality development as central, both in the current culture and in the future.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
