Abstract

In this study the benefits of using fully polarimetric SAR data for targets at sea observation are carefully analyzed. Accordingly, the most up-to-dated state of the art de- tectors able to deal with full- and dual- polarimetric Single Look Complex (SLC) SAR data are briefly re- viewed and their performance is analyzed using actual full-polarimetric SAR data collected in selected test sites where ground truth information is available.
