The aim of the research is to serve as a scientific support tool for the identification and evaluation of the quality of actions to be implemented on the built heritage with a view to planning conservation interventions. Therefore, taking into consideration an emblematic case study, the fortified system of the UNESCO city of Assisi, the study – through a canonical approach to research based on the reading and interpretation of bibliographic, archival, iconographic and cartographic sources and on the direct investigation of the city walls with photographic, metric, material and construction surveys – intends to arrive at a state of knowledge of the state of conservation of the urban monument, also in relation to seismic, hydrogeological, natural and anthropic risk factors. The research, therefore, intends to construct a model of knowledge for the identification of guidelines and strategic directions for the planned conservation of the Assisi’s fortifications and that can also be reiterated to other cases and contexts.

Abstract
The research, therefore, intends to construct a model of knowledge for the identification of guidelines and strategic directions for the planned conservation of the Assisi’s fortifications and that can also be reiterated to other cases and contexts.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
