Much knowledge can be gained about the current maintenance of historic surfaces when analyzed from the perspective of preserving historic values, although it is not possible to develop knowledge in the absence of an organizational framework. While the importance of documenting restoration interventions for buildings with declared cultural interest is now well-established, the same does not apply to minor historic heritage. Nevertheless, interventions represent a crucial step in the history of a building's transformation. This contribution aims to highlight the advantages of applying digital methodologies to document interventions on historic architectural heritage, with a view to their planned and preventive maintenance. The research thus aims to develop an efficient methodology for collecting data produced during current maintenance operations on buildings of historical and architectural interest. The cataloging of this data may recur to a specifically designed digital tool called Restoration Site Sheet, which will be accessible to all and updatable online. This database contributes to the preservation of knowledge coming from the restoration site, crucial for conservation activities in the context of periodic interventions, such as the routine maintenance of building facades.

Abstract
This database contributes to the preservation of knowledge coming from the restoration site, crucial for conservation activities in the context of periodic interventions, such as the routine maintenance of building facades.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
