The article highlights the outcomes of the work of the second day of the initiative "Cultural heritage and urban regeneration. Material and immaterial places between history, narrative and project", starting from the defining aspects and multidisciplinary contextualisation of the concept of cultural heritage, which assume cultural heritage and the themes of cultural innovation, creativity, identity and social inclusion, sustainability and socio-economic development as a fundamental driver for the construction of the new urban welfare. In addition, reflection emerges on the role of design disciplines in the experimentation of urban regeneration strategies and projects that focus on the profound link between the enhancement of historical and cultural identity, quality and sustainability of urban contexts and socio-economic development opportunities.
