Ernst Jünger ovvero l’asso nella manica della Neue Rechte tedesca

Ernst Jünger’s role for the culture of the Neue Rechte works as an ace in the hole: the author, indeed, is passively manipulated for specific purposes in order to take on the most useful and appropriate value. Therefore, the aim of the present analysis is to investigate the appropriation’s methods used by the German Neue Rechte in order to make the most of Ernst Jünger and raise him as a true precursor of the New Right’s thought. In particular, three modalities will be analyzed: 1) the constant references to a non-explicit Jüngerian ideology that is taken for granted; 2) the references to the author’s texts in order to prove the proximity of their content to the cultural and political interests of the Neue Rechte; 3) the staging of a real performative (individual and/or collective) act – between the masculine and the Jüngerian canon.
