Nuovi approcci metodologici applicati a Cencelle (Tarquinia, VT). New methodological approaches applied to Cencelle (Tarquinia, VT)

This paper presents new methodological approaches applied to Cencelle archaeological context (Tarquinia, VT), an early medieval papal foundation town with continuity of life until the seventeenth century, when it was abandoned. Due to this, the site represents a privileged observatory for experimental research in different investigation fields: archaeoparasitology; ancient essential oils (OE) chemical analysis; mortar samples and metal artefacts archaeometric study; new 3D archaeological documentation procedures to support field activities.
