Abstract

The world is experiencing a period of great upheavals dominated by major international circuits, financial lobbies, and the ambitions of "nuclear giants" threatening destruction and the end of an era of peace. In light of these events, it is crucial to prioritize cooperation projects, rally around the architecture of peace, and build frameworks capable of bearing the weight of the inevitable deterioration of many international relationships. From this perspective, it becomes increasingly clear that only a strong interaction between culture, economy, politics, and diplomacy can represent the keystone of a system seeking a new balance. Cirseu was founded with the idea of weaving networks of transnational collaborations capable of "crossing" the boundaries of local research and involving the most disparate realities of the immense Eurasian continent, starting from the Balkans, passing through the Caucasus and the Central Asian republics, and reaching the shores of the Pacific. In doing so, as scholars, we often encounter "travel companions" with traditions and cultures very different from our own, but precisely for this reason, they deserve to be studied and deepened as they represent that part of the world often kept in the shadows by the great powers that want to manage their destinies. From all this, the Forum was born, strongly desired by Cirseu, where polyphonic voices will discuss the future of our civilizations, where a large-scale collaboration project will be at the center, addressing topics ranging from the new energy policy to the economic challenges of the new millennium, from cultural diplomacy to cooperation in the historical and political fields, with a focus on European planning that can become the meeting point of the different souls encompassed within this event, the first of its kind in Perugia in recent years, a starting point for a new generation of scholars and a source of pride for our University and the entire Perugian community. The Forum, in its first edition, will be itinerant and in the coming years will be held in Baku, Tirana, Almaty, and Cluj Napoca in Romania
