Abstract
Among the most valuable sources for the study of Santa Maria del Popolo in Rome is its Liber familiae, in which the members of the observant family of the convent from 1473 to 1781 are systematically recorded. In this first contribution dedicated to this precious source, after a historical framework, the transcription of the lists from the last decades of the 15th century is proposed, a period in which the church and the adjoining convent saw not only the arrival of the Augustinian Observant Congregation of Lombardy, but also the beginning of an impressive architectural and decorative renovation, which made Santa Maria del Popolo the first building site of Pope Sixtus IV’s Renovatio Urbis projectI documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
