L'abbigliamento a Mari nel Bronzo Antico e Bronzo Medio

This article attempts at providing a general framework for clothes at Mari, in the Early and Middle Bronze Ages. It takes into consideration for the Early Bronze Age the iconographic resources, instead for the Middle Bronze Age both the iconographic and epigraphic sources. Numerous worshipper statues coming from the Ishtar and Dagan temples dating from the Early Bronze Age give us an overview on clothes styles. The Middle Bronze Age and its Archives give various information about the names of clothes and their values. From the paintings of the Royal Palace, it is possible to know the colours used in this period.

In questo articolo, si tenterà di fornire un quadro generale dell’abbigliamento mariota nelle età del Bronzo Antico e del Bronzo Medio: per il primo periodo ci si concentrerà solo sui dati archeologici, invece per il secondo sull’analisi di dati di duplice natura, ilologici e archeologici.
