Serafima Pavlovna Remizova-Dovgello between Reality and Legend · The article focuses on Serafima Pavlovna Remizova-Dovgello (1876-1943), mostly remembered as the wife of the writer Alexei Mikhailovich Remizov (1887-1957) and as a central character in his auto-fictional production. She was indeed an interesting figure in the Russian histori- cal-cultural context of the 20th century. Our aim is to underline the significance of Serafima Pavlovna in the cultural and literary life of the Silver Age and of the Russian emigration, through memoirs, documents, letters, and Remizov’s books devoted to her ‘legend’.
