Metamorfosi dell'eros

The aim of the article is to provide a brief inquiry on Erotism as it is depicted in Erotism and The Tears of Eros. Bataille doesn’t oppose Eros to violence and death: Eros itself could be considered as violence and death, because it is a selfconsistent principle of differentiation between life and death. Eros is also connected with dépense and mania, and the only way to catch it into a system, or even to think of it, is obeying its commands and not trying to dominate it.
