As a part of ongoing studies on the taxonomy of Cirsium Miller (1754: no pagination) and related genera (see e.g., Del Guacchio & Iamonico 2015, Del Guacchio et al. 2019, 2021), we here present a contribute concerning the name Cnicus firmus C.Presl in Presl & Presl (1822: 107-108), which appears still untypified.
