Chongqing is the youngest municipality directly under the central government in China and also a witness to the rapid development of the Chinese economy. Pedestrian Street of Jiefangbei, located in Yuzhong District, has a long history and witnessed the earth shaking changes in Chongqing. Based on literature review and actual research, this paper studies the evolution of the diversity of Pedestrian Street of Jiefangbei from the perspective of commerce and public space, and analyzes the development of the commercial street under the influence of globalization.
