The article presents the construction of an archive project on Giuseppe Campos Venuti, one of the great Masters of Italian urban planning who worked nationally and internationally since the 1950s. The archive project stems from the planner’s desire to share the material he kept in his studio: books, documents of plans and projects, drawings and more. Therefore, the article presents the start-up phases of the project and the method used for organising the materials according to the characteristics of his studio in Bologna, as well as an in-depth examination of the first inventory phase of Campos Venuti’s writings 1945-2013 that resulted in over 700 unpublished documents.
