Research on the health effects of radiofrequency electromagnetic fields (RF-EMF) has been conducted extensively in recent decades. While no detrimental effects have been proven for the low levels commonly used in telecommunications, some indications have been raised based on interdisciplinary studies. With the rapid growth of digital technologies and the introduction of new technologies like 5G, it is crucial to investigate the potential risks to human health before widespread adoption. To address this, novel monitoring tools are needed to track exposure levels and patterns in different populations. Additionally, an integrative approach combining innovative experimental techniques and advanced modeling at microscopic and molecular scales is essential for identifying potential causal biological effects.
