VENT’ANNI DI RICERCHE/SPERIMENTAZIONI DI TURISMO INTERGENERAZIONALE NEL TERRITORIO VITERBESE: LE RICADUTE SULLE COMUNITÀ OSPITANTI

This contribution retraces the report presented at the Conference held in Bergamo on 2 December 2023 in mixed mode (in person and online). A.R.I.P.T.Fo.R.P., in agreement with A.I.QUA.V. since 2022, it has been carrying out research and projects, promoting an innovative formula of Sustainable Tourism. "Intergenerational Tourism" is one of the new forms of tourism, an opportunity for knowledge, through a tourist-cultural experience, between participants of different generations - not linked by blood - defined as "Grandparents and Grandchildren" due to the climate that it is established within the group, similar to the family one. The studies use multi-theoretical and multi-method approaches typical of social psychology. From Northern Italy: Sfruz, Trento (from 2000 and 2016 in School-Work Alternation/PCTO mode), San Pellegrino Terme, Bergamo (from 2016 in School-Work Alternation mode), Treviglio, Bergamo (2023, in PCTO mode) such research/experiments have also been extended to Lazio, Sardinia and Tuscany, taking the form of a national project. The presentation focuses on the Viterbo context, where the Grandparents and Grandchildren group, an expression of Caritas and ACLI, has been active since 2002, in collaboration with A.R.I.P.T.Fo.R.P. Here the studies have included participants from different countries over time, in favor of interculture. The main results obtained made it possible to identify a common model in the evolution of communication and relationships between participants: phases of "approach", "knowledge" and "empathy". The Grandparents and Grandchildren group of Viterbo, characterized by a profound value dimension, also implements the "generative creativity" represented by the "Intergenerational Pact" in favor of: -of local memory/culture, with artistic forms (such as amateur theater or exhibitions of the works of the sculptor Roberto Bassetto) which are also found in the "Art and Nature" training course (Treviglio, 2023); -of the Environment, with the "green" theme of the solidarity dice (since 2016, renewed in 2023); the collaboration with the Caritas Solidarity Gardens (since 2016) and their extension into the R.O.S.A. network. Viterbo (from 2022); the “Grandparents and Grandchildren” urban grove (since 2012) and its continuation with the “A tree for life” project (2023-2024). The different Editions of Intergenerational Tourism favor some places that represent from 2022 the stages of the Intergenerational Value and Environmental Education Path created by the Provincial ACLI as a business card of "Viterbo City for Fraternity". In summary we can say that Intergenerational Tourism has produced positive outcomes with reference to: • participants who have abandoned stereotypes and prejudices linked to different ages and ethnic groups; • the host communities that have taken advantage of projects in favor of socio-cultural and environmental sustainability. We can conclude that the research/experiments carried out by A.R.I.P.T.Fo.R.P. bring social and environmental benefits, guaranteeing the sustainability of tourism, as also hoped for by the working group on sustainable tourism promoted by A.I.QUA.V.

Il presente contributo ripercorre la relazione presentata al Convegno svoltosi a Bergamo il 2 dicembre 2023 in modalità mista (in presenza e online). A.R.I.P.T.Fo.R.P. (Associazione Ricerche Interdisciplinari Psicologia del Turismo-Formazione, Ricerca, Progettualità), in convenzione con A.I.QUA.V. dal 2022, svolge ricerche e progetti, promuovendo una formula innovativa di Turismo Sostenibile. Il "turismo intergenerazionale" è una delle nuove forme di turismo, un'occasione di conoscenza, attraverso un'esperienza turistico-culturale, tra partecipanti di generazioni diverse -non legate da vincoli di sangue- definiti "Nonni e Nipoti" per il clima che si instaura all’interno del gruppo, simile a quello familiare. Gli studi utilizzano approcci multi-teorici e multi-metodo propri della psicologia sociale. Dal Nord Italia: Sfruz, Trento (dal 2000 e dal 2016 in modalità Alternanza Scuola Lavoro/PCTO), San Pellegrino Terme, Bergamo (dal 2016 in modalità Alternanza Scuola Lavoro), Treviglio, Bergamo (2023, in modalità PCTO) tali ricerche/sperimentazioni si sono estese anche al Lazio, alla Sardegna, alla Toscana, configurandosi come progetto nazionale. La presentazione si concentra sul contesto viterbese, dove il gruppo Nonni e Nipoti, espressione di Caritas e ACLI, è attivo dal 2002, in collaborazione con A.R.I.P.T.Fo.R.P. Qui gli studi hanno incluso nel tempo partecipanti provenienti da diversi Paesi, a favore dell'intercultura. I principali risultati ottenuti hanno permesso di individuare un modello comune nell'evoluzione della comunicazione e delle relazioni tra i partecipanti: fasi di “avvicinamento”, “conoscenza” e “empatia”. Il gruppo Nonni e Nipoti di Viterbo, caratterizzato da una profonda dimensione valoriale, attua inoltre la “creatività generativa” rappresentata dal “Patto tra generazioni” a favore: -della memoria/cultura locale, con forme artistiche (come il teatro amatoriale o le esposizioni delle opere dello scultore Roberto Bassetto) che si ritrovano anche nel percorso formativo “Arte e Natura” (Treviglio, 2023); -dell'Ambiente, con il tema “green” del dado solidale (dal 2016, rinnovato nel 2023); la collaborazione agli Orti Solidali Caritas (dal 2016) e la loro estensione nella rete R.O.S.A. Viterbo (dal 2022); il boschetto urbano “Nonni e Nipoti” (dal 2012) e la sua prosecuzione con il progetto “Un albero per la Vita” (2023-2024). Le diverse Edizioni di turismo intergenerazionale privilegiano alcuni luoghi che rappresentano dal 2022 le tappe del Percorso Intergenerazionale Valoriale e di Educazione Ambientale realizzato dalle Acli Provinciali come biglietto da visita di “Viterbo Città per la Fraternità”. Riassumendo possiamo dire che il turismo intergenerazionale ha prodotto esiti positivi con riferimento a: • i partecipanti che hanno abbandonato stereotipi e pregiudizi legati alle diverse età ed etnie; • le comunità ospitanti che si sono avvalse di progetti a favore della sostenibilità socio-culturale e ambientale. Possiamo concludere che le ricerche/sperimentazioni svolte da A.R.I.P.T.Fo.R.P. apportano benefici di carattere sociale e ambientale, garantendo la sostenibilità del turismo, come auspicato anche dal gruppo di lavoro sul turismo sostenibile promosso da A.I.QUA.V.
