ATTI DEL WEBINAR ORDINE DEGLI PSICOLOGI DEL LAZIO (Roma, 26 gennaio 2023) LA PSICOLOGIA DEL TURISMO: UN AMBITO DI INTERVENTO PER LO PSICOLOGO

During the webinar "The psychology of tourism: a field of intervention for the psychologist" (January 26, 2023) it was possible to reconstruct the history of the psychology of tourism in Italy, underlining how the mentioned research, planning and training activities activate - with the experience gained - new career paths for psychologists. The narration made use of the presentation of the Interdisciplinary Scientific Committee "Psychology and Tourism" set up in September 1984 during the Post-Congress Study Day XX Congress of Italian Psychologists, Psychology and Tourism held in San Pellegrino Terme (Bergamo). The following step was the transformation of the Scientific Committee from a research group to an Association. Thus the A.R.I.P.T. (Association of Interdisciplinary Research Psychology of Tourism) was born and subsequently it was declined in A.R.I.P.T.Fo.R.P.: Training, Research and Planning. The presentation retraced the main stages of a complex and articulated journey that lasted almost forty years, whose leitmotif, in the evolution and strengthening of the activities carried out, was the interdisciplinary approach, thanks to the catalysing role of psychology.

Durante il webinar “La psicologia del turismo: un ambito di intervento per lo psicologo” (26 gennaio 2023) è stato possibile ricostruire la storia della Psicologia del turismo in Italia, sottolineando come le ricerche, le progettualità e le attività formative menzionate attivino -con l’esperienza maturata- nuovi percorsi professionali per gli psicologi. La narrazione si è avvalsa della presentazione del Comitato Scientifico Interdisciplinare “Psicologia e Turismo” costituitosi nel settembre del 1984 durante la Giornata di Studio Post-Congressuale XX Congresso degli Psicologi Italiani, Psicologia e Turismo svolta a San Pellegrino Terme (Bergamo). Il passo seguente è stata la trasformazione del Comitato Scientifico da gruppo di ricerca ad Associazione; nacque così l’A.R.I.P.T. (Associazione Ricerche Interdisciplinari Psicologia del Turismo), successivamente declinata in A.R.I.P.T. Fo.R.P.: Formazione, Ricerca e Progettualità. La presentazione ha ripercorso le principali tappe di un viaggio complesso e articolato durato quasi quarant’anni anni, il cui filo conduttore, nell’evoluzione e nel potenziamento delle attività svolte, è stato l’approccio interdisciplinare, grazie al ruolo catalizzatore della psicologia.
