Mazzini e la questione sociale. Storia e interpretazioni

Defined by Armando Lodolini as one of the most important figures of the economic-social school of the Risorgimento, Giuseppe Mazzini fought throughout all of his life to promote equality and the valorization of work in the social and political sphere. His beliefs went hand in hand with interclassism, the idea of duty and centrality of the Nation in the path towards progress, which should have led to a more just international order of “sister Nations.” This article aims to explore Mazzini’s point of view and broaden its perspective by including some interpretations of his thought, such as those of the "social right" of the Italian post-war period which, with figures such as Ernesto Massi, Giano Accame and Gaetano Rasi, made a symbol out of his cultural elaborations.
