In this study, I propose to apply the methods of corpus linguistics to the identification of terms in Italian and French driven by a specialised bilingual corpus (economics). The proposal falls within the theoretical framework of textual terminology and analyses terms as lexical units that can be related to a specialised field. The economic language corpus is made up of original texts in Italian and French. The primary objective is to highlight the points of linguistic convergence of each subcorpus according to different perspectives of analysis which seem useful for the identification of terms and the linguistic expression of specialised knowledge. My assumption is that, given the typological proximity of the lexicons of the two Romance languages, the comparable bilingual corpus inevitably presents sites of lexical isomorphies (cognates) which may provide access to knowledge-rich contexts. We know that such textual fragments may contain potential terms. To identify comparable textual entities in a non-parallel bilingual corpus, I carry out a comparative study of the lexicon of the two sub-corpuses from three perspectives: anglicisms, complex nouns and relational adjectives.

Abstract
To identify comparable textual entities in a non-parallel bilingual corpus, I carry out a comparative study of the lexicon of the two sub-corpuses from three perspectives: anglicisms, complex nouns and relational adjectives.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
