Dell’opera infaticabile. Psicoanalisi e linguaggio in Emilio Garroni

The aim of this article is to show how the hypothesis of a possible dialogue between philosophy and psychoanalysis plays a non-marginal role in Emilio Garroni’s thought. The attention paid to psychoanalytic hypotheses, in fact, is not reducible to the experience of his collaboration with Ferrari: both in his philosophical production and in his journalistic and narrative activity, one can observe the trace of a profound connection between the problems internal to the “question of meaning” to which Garroni turns his intellectual interest and the questions posed by the direct or indirect confrontation with psychoanalytic theories. In particular, the article focuses on some central issues: the scientific status of psychoanalysis and its relation to language; the problem of temporality; the notions of “analytic relation” and “analytic novel”.
