The Vita of Luke, Bishop of Isola (BHG 2237), is the only Greek hagiographical text created during the Norman period that offers evidence of conflicts between Orthodox and Latins. The aim of this article is to analyze the passage in the Bios that documents Luke’s episcopal mission in Sicily and investigate whether it too pertains to these discords.
