Using an instrumented ballistic pendulum, impact tests were carried out on square concrete plates. Varios percentage of polyacrylonitrile (PAN) fibers were added to the mix in order to study their influence on the impact responce. A model of the damage process has been proposed, as a useful tool for furher studies.
