The Rapid Ultrasound for shock and hypotension is a protocol for the rapid US bedside evaluation of patients with protracted hypoperfusion and subsequent multiorgan failure. In less than two minutes, this protocol allows for a rapid identification of underlying reversible causes. The type of shock can be defined by evaluating «pump », «tank » and « pipes » by means of parasternal long cardiac view, apical four chamber view, inferior vena cava assessment, Morison’s pouch with eventual hemothorax view, splenorenal pouch with eventual hemothorax view, bladder view, aorta assessment, right and left pulmonary view.

Abstract
The Rapid Ultrasound for shock and hypotension is a protocol for the rapid US bedside evaluation of patients with protracted hypoperfusion and subsequent multiorgan failure. In less than two minutes, this protocol allows for a rapid identification of underlying reversible causes. The type of shock can be defined by evaluating «pump », «tank » and « pipes » by means of parasternal long cardiac view, apical four chamber view, inferior vena cava assessment, Morison’s pouch with eventual hemothorax view, splenorenal pouch with eventual hemothorax view, bladder view, aorta assessment, right and left pulmonary view.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
