sensors have found an extraordinary use in every field of technology and industry. The smart sensor has smart capabilities like wave communication and being an on-board microcontroller. Smart sensors have various advantages compared to conventional sensors, such as smaller size, minimal power consumption and high performance, which make these sensors ideal for air and water monitoring. The use of smart sensors in monitoring different water parameters, whether fresh or salty, is also the basic element that will be addressed in this study. This study aims to present a complete picture of the types of sensors used for water monitoring, as well as to provide information about their use in Albania. This will be realized in a more detailed analysis of the current situation that exists in Albania for water monitoring, including the use of sensors in other functions, always related to water.
