In my work, I will deal with the development of Performance Studies, because it is no longer possible to deny the fact that different performative practices have marked our epoch, from Futurism (1909) until today (2023), and that the original discourse of performance art has spread in all forms of praxis and theory. During the last twenty years, performance studies have moved far from the initial methodology that was created at the end of the Seventies, when common principles were discovered in theatrology and anthropology. My intention is to trace the development and point to the future of this academic post discipline, which is increasingly expanding the field of its research, constantly taking on new methodologies (queer studies, memory studies, etc.) and rejecting old ones (semiotics, hermeneutics) and which erases the differences between different artistic discipline (most famous international museums have opened new departments for exhibiting, preserving and studying performance art). The emergence of a large number of artists who are also theoreticians further contributed to the interdisciplinary nature of these studies. Finally, the triumph of the digital paradigm introduced numerous adjustments starting from the way of thinking to different creative strategies.

Abstract
Finally, the triumph of the digital paradigm introduced numerous adjustments starting from the way of thinking to different creative strategies.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
