Sofrer além do corpo: o sofrimento ético-político na vivência LGBTQIA+

O presente estudo teve como objetivo discutir sobre as influências do sofrimento ético-político nas experiências da população LGBTQIA+. Utilizando uma metodologia exploratória qualitativa e um questionário online, foram identificadas diversas formas de violência que afetam a vivência LGBTQIA+, com destaque para a violência psicológica. Essas formas de violência contribuem para a manifestação do sofrimento ético-político, o qual é intensificado pelas interseccionalidades e se expressa principalmente por meio da repressão de desejos e afetos em diversos contextos, assim como pela repressão de circular entre os espaços livremente. A saúde mental da população LGBTQIA+ é amplamente afetada pelas injustiças sociais, resultando em ideações suicidas e sofrimentos ético-político. Essas descobertas evidenciam a importância de aprofundar a discussão sobre o tema em questão.

This exploratory qualitative research aimed to discuss the influences of ethical-political suffering on the experiences of the LGBTQIA+ population. The investigation took place using an online questionnaire, which obtained 38 participants, predominantly cisgender women and bisexual people, aged between 23 and 27. Thus, various forms of violence affecting LGBTQIA+ experience were identified, with psychological violence standing out as the most commonly experienced. The forms of violence exposed contribute to the manifestation of ethical-political suffering, which is intensified by intersectionalities and is expressed mainly through the repression of desires and affections in various contexts, as well as the repression of moving freely between spaces. Therefore, the mental health of the LGBTQIA+ population is largely affected by the social injustices they face, resulting in suicidal ideation and ethical-political suffering. These findings highlight the importance of carrying out action-research on the subject and taking action to combat LGBTphobia.
