Il Mnemodramma di Alessandro Fersen: un laboratorio della trasformazione

The essay focuses on Mnemodrama, the method Alessandro Fersen experimented for a few decades inside his Rome based Laboratory, named Fersen Scenic Arts Studio. Despite an absence of well-structured meditations by the same Fersen, he nevertheless openly admitted that Mnemodrama derives from Candomblé. The essay compares some specific aspects, based on results and records, of Mnemodrama and Brazilian Candomblé, that Fersen met in 1958. Notably, inside a few experimented practices, such as: the use of observed or manipulated objects, the final amnesia, the community and the participation, the super-personal dimension, the resilience function. Mnemodrama has been one of the first examples (may be the real first one) of theatre and anthropology interlacement.
