Current and next-generation communication systems demand high-data rate devices with enhanced coverage and compact dimensions for different applications. We present here a dual-polarized and differentially-fed, metasurface leaky-wave antenna for full-duplex and radar applications. The antenna structure is based on a slotted substrate-integrated waveguide (SIW) feeding system designed to excite two orthogonal polarizations by dual-differential excitation. The high gain aperture is defined by a partially reflective surface placed on top of the SIW layer and it operates around 24GHz, providing good impedance matching, isolation greater than 45dB, and maximum realized gain on the order of 18dBi. The proposed antenna is also capable of providing sum and difference radiation patterns when excited with 180° and 0° phase shifts across two opposite ports, respectively.

Abstract
The proposed antenna is also capable of providing sum and difference radiation patterns when excited with 180° and 0° phase shifts across two opposite ports, respectively.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
