The climatic change that we are experiencing in these last years, due to a huge set of causes in particular related to human activities, is leading to an increase of catastrophic natural phenomena. This clearly leads a direct impact not only on ecosystem equilibria but also on flora, fauna and human lives. The incoming emergencies scenario, such as wildfire, flooding and landslide, therefore increase the pull demand of a Disaster Management Service that help involved rescue teams to limit damages suppressing dangerous phenomena. For this aim a resilient and efficient emergency management system, able to manage not only wildfire and landslide emergencies is proposed. The paper aims to describe the system concept and service architecture deriving from the feasibility study results of the ARIES project (Advanced multi-Rat Integrated multi-sensors solution for Emergency prevention, detection and response operationS), co-funded by ASI, through the ESA Business Application and Space Solutions Programme, as a part of the initiative “5G for L’ART” Law Enforcement. With this purpose, a complete overview of system and service architecture is presented, providing a description of the interoperability among involved sub-systems that based on heterogeneous technologies, such as terrestrial and spatial, permit to design a new emergencies management infrastructure able to support rescue teams in all emergency phases. Finally are reported some simulation results of ARIES proof-of-concept demonstrator, involving also innovative mathematical models and algorithms with satellite sensing data.
