This article deals with the legal instrument of the Italian golden powers, within the broader framework of public control instruments for the protection of national security and strategic interests in Italy. The golden powers are in fact today a valid response to the many crises of our time: economic, health, geopolitical, energy and climate, war. The work investigates the structure and current applications of the tool, in a comparative perspective.
