This contribution looks at some texts composed by the very young Luigi Pirandello between 1884 and 1887, during his stay in Palermo. Early writings are useful to trace the writer’s education, to shed some light on Pirandello’s relation with the city and its main characters, and to better frame a little-known period of his intellectual-biography. We look at his first steps taken in the field of prose, highlighting connections and affinities in the short stories.

Abstract
This contribution looks at some texts composed by the very young Luigi Pirandello between 1884 and 1887, during his stay in Palermo. Early writings are useful to trace the writer’s education, to shed some light on Pirandello’s relation with the city and its main characters, and to better frame a little-known period of his intellectual-biography. We look at his first steps taken in the field of prose, highlighting connections and affinities in the short stories.File allegati a questo prodotto
