Subject of the present contribution are the habitations in the Sepolcreto Arcaico site in the Roman Forum, excavated by Giacomo Boni (Venice 1859-Rome 1925) in the beginning of the XXth century. These include the archaeological remains of the so-called IV strato (layer), of “Pre-Republican Age”, as Boni put it, not mentioned as such in his edited work, but present in Boni’s manuscript and on the boxes of materials preserved . It has been possible to elaborate a reconstruction of the habitations, including both the stone structures and those in perishable materials, also thanks to the original manuscript of the excavator and to a series of excavation maps and sections.
