La colonia latina di Setia. Note di topografia urbana da Monte Trevi all’abitato storico

This paper analyses the Latin colony of Setia (382 a.C.). In the first part the inhabited area near Monte Trevi, surrounded by walls and located on a plateau southeast of the historic urban center of Setia, is investigated. It could constitute the oldest city, prior to the foundation of the colony mentioned by the sources. In the second part, the archaeological and epigraphic remains of the historical settlement of the colony are examined. Two building phases have been highlighted for the urban walls, connected to two phases of urban planning: the first in polygonal masonry of the second manner, expanded towards the north-west with one in the IV manner, probably in the early 2nd century BC.
