The industrial heritage of the 20th Century is a plural heritage that includes different periods, innovations, revolutions and unsuspected historical-economic continuities. There are sites of primary excellence and choral evidence that can only be explored by absorbing, from the world of Industrial Archaeology, that habit of interdisciplinary work promoted by AIPAI for the past 25 years. The fragilities that characterize it are many. It is a variegated set of assets not bound only to the specific enclosure of the architectural modern, but gathering in a much broader sense the different instances of modernity that between promises and outcomes, are expressed by their material testimony. Fragilities, therefore, are to be traced back to the whole activity that is witnessed in material objects by the presence/disappearance of machines, the understanding of continuous historical evolutions, the consequences of experimentations in types for the factory, for the city, for society, as well as in techniques and materials. It is found that the industrial object is born to function, even before it lasts, and its ferrying as memory is not taken for granted. The National Recovery and Resilience Plan places industrial heritage at the center of new paths, and a holistic approach between historical-technical knowledge, collective appropriation, and economic-cultural planning is a priority, thus enabling its resilience potential to be fully perceived.

Abstract
The National Recovery and Resilience Plan places industrial heritage at the center of new paths, and a holistic approach between historical-technical knowledge, collective appropriation, and economic-cultural planning is a priority, thus enabling its resilience potential to be fully perceived.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
