Alessandro Parronchi’s first poetic season ends with the publication of the collection Un’attesa in 1949. However, the book will not prove to be the turning point expected by its author, who is thus forced to seek a new way of doing through other stimuli poetry. In this climate of uncertainty, at the 1951 Venice Film Festival, Parronchi attended the screening of Kurosawa’s Rashōmon and immediately decided to reproduce the story and – above all – the cinematographic technique in an experimental prose story: Nel bosco. It will also be thanks to this effervescent poetic test that Parronchi will overcome the creative crisis following Un’attesa and will direct his own way of making poetry towards the finally mature results of Coraggio di vivere.
