Rhinofilling with hyaluronic acid (HA) is a non-surgical procedure that reshapes the nose profile using a few well-aimed injections. We performed a rhinofilling procedure for aesthetic reasons using HA gel in a healthy 29-year-old woman with a lip frenulum piercing worn consistently for the previous 2.5 years. The following morning, prominent HA accumulation was clinically evident on the left side of her upper lip and confirmed by an ultrasound examination, so we used hyaluronidase. We analyze this unexpected migration proposing an interpretation.
