A methodology is here described for quantitative determination of the elements necessary to develop comparative analyses of different technological systems. These systems are characterized by different performances and a different involvement level of the operators both in regular and degraded operational conditions. The guide parameters for this model are both those that typically characterize the technological system reliability (MTBF in particular) and the operational regulation characteristics (quantity, application rate, operators involved, actions to be taken, expected effects, etc.).
