Il cavaliere nero. Arcani della politica ne Il cuore avventuroso

Starting from The Black Knight, a short text in both versions of Jünger’s collection of ‘capriccios’ The Adventurous Heart, this paper aims to enlighten Jünger’s passage, within this writing workshop, from the publicly political dimension to a more literary one. However, the political dimension continues to live on within the latter in a coded and complex form, being crossed by deep-seated impulses that also elucidate the cultural background of the text that moves among German Romantik, Nietzsche and the will to power, the cult of the Middle Ages and the return of myth, but also the contemplation of pain, the New Objectivity coldness and the latent sadism.
