To fully understand the 77 movement explosion, it is essential to examine the operating methods undertaken from social antagonism groups at the beginning of the decade, thanks to which it was possible to involve and mobilize large population groups on issues related to social needs. The Rome case is emblematic. The control of territories - especially of some suburbs - formed an outpost of the Roman movement, regardless of which it becomes difficult, if not impossible, to explain the eruption on the social conflict scene of a subject coming from the outskirts of the city . Practices widely used in '77 were anticipated by an experimentation in the peripheral territories whereby the movement gained his character. Unless you want to confine the violence only to the riots, it is indisputable that the "use of force" and the continuous legality threshold crossing represented a constant struggle from the 1972-73, when a number of factors (the end of the expansion phase and the reforms moving back) made possible and effective the rooting of "antagonist" neighborhood committees: their activity is the focus of this article.
