Abstract
Urban archaeologists make systematic use of geophysical measurements. In our research experience, dedicated to the reconstruction of the landscapes of ancient Rome and to extensive stratigraphic investigations of multi-layered architectural complexes, remote sensing survey results have been transformed into taxonomic and cartographic elements of an Archaeological Information System and of archaeological assessments, to verify their possible congruence and chronological proximity with the known and attested monuments and topographical framework of the analysed context and to classify all the available data of topographical value necessary for scientific elaboration and cultural communicationFile | Dimensione | Formato | |
