Abstract
Bianca Garufi can be defined as a minor figure in the twentieth century italian literary scene; however, her relationship with Cesare Pavese has led to the production of works of great interest, such as the collection of poems La terra e la morte and the novel Fuoco grande – written together – not to mention their close correspondence. This article provides a brief summary of the novel's gestation process and the relationship between its two authors; after that, it sheds light on the novel's release, partly critically acclaimed and partly rejected. 30 Finally, the last part is dedicated to Il fossile, sequel to Fuoco grande, which is actually far from the work that Bianca Garufi had shared with Pavese in many respects, mainly due to Bernhard's psychoanalysis influence.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
