Abstract
This paper aims to assess the pertinence of natural attitude (and of its paradoxical status in phenomenology) to a philosophical analysis of religion. The idea of the ‘holy’ emerge as the consequence of the phenomenological requirement to approach religion not as a doctrine but as lived experience. What is more, the reduplication of the notion in sacred and saint can be considered as a double way of reducing (in the technical sense of epochē) the profane. Working on some classical theories of the sacred (Otto, Girard, Levinas), this difference can be interpreted as a double experience of the religious prohibition of contact.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
